Norma Jordan proposes several ideas to improve Lillian Valley School including updating the website, implementing online curriculum and testing programs, and pursuing grant funding. 4. WEBSITE The Website currently looks great. I would like to improve it by adding the following: Links to activities for students. Links to help kids practice and prepare for the ISAT I would like to get pictures of past students and do short bios with information and pictures from then and now I would like to anonymously post graphs and data about how are students are doing with IRI’s and ISAT Testing. (The information I would place in the website would follow all Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. ( FERPA laws and regulations) I would also like an area where we can list those that donate funds to the school .  I have more ideas…the above are just a few.

6. Benefits of Scantron I have seen Scantron used and I have used it myself. It gives the teacher valuable information, helping them individualize Instruction. It provides printable worksheets/test. The teacher can choose the questions for both the worksheets and tests.

8. Online Math and Language Curriculum I would like to find and implement an Online Language and Math Program. I like K-12 Curriculum, but it is a little expensive, so I am looking into finding something in a more reasonable price range. I would like to see this implemented so the teachers can better meet the needs of the students on a individual basis.

9. Funding Look into Federal Government grants. Talk to Shoshone Bannock High School- Hank McArthur I talked with someone who works with a Native American Boarding School in Washington. It is called the PASCHAL SHERMAN INDIAN SCHOOL They get a lot of funding from the Federal Government. Make contacts to see if they will share some information about where they are getting funds.

10. Ideas to reach NCLB Holding Teachers Accountable: Spreadsheets to track students progress on State Standards. Holding Students Accountable: Complete tasks with an 80% accuracy before moving forward. Spreadsheet to track students progress......students that remain on track to complete their grade by the end of the year will have some kind of monthly reward.
